More generally there is a noticeable trend towards more round and soft wine: the case of France where Merlot dominates in single variety or assembly majority (720 of the 1538 red wines present followed by 180 wines mostly from Cabernet Sauvignon or 110 of the Syrah)

Finally, the average blood alcohol level of wine is increasing and reached 13.28% against 13.09% in 2006 to about 12 , 8% in 2000 ... This is a key indicator when assessing the changes of maturity, solar luminosity and consequently any changes ... weather ...




These are the first findings of the eighteenth edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Next steps: Luxembourg for three days of tasting the 6, 7 and 8 May next and then the publication of results expected on Monday 16 May at 18h in Brussels (GMT +1). Created in 1994, the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles is positioned in the range of 'world championship' of the tasting.
