Spinettalandia and friends is an album of Luis Alberto Spinetta soloist, recorded in 1971 after leaving and before forming Almond Rabid Fish. An album "hippie" about the sound recording and design, while a prank of Louis to break away from your company label. Almond dissolved - and after hard step for France - Spinetta enters the transition that denotes this album and the duality and risks involving the long term only. Preanunciantes rock songs than it would be "Rabid Fish" ("Castle Rock") made in conjunction with "Pappo" and intimate matters and surprising as "Star Search." With friends around in the studio, voices and sounds casual, it refers to "Give Peace a Chance" by John Lennon, a transitional album, but fundamental bases that sit in the future. The LP was released when it was titled "Almendra", which was made to sue the record company. In 1978, made a reissue of the disc entitled "Star Search", and in 1995 under the label Sony Music, editing and CD, the album was titled Spinetta had wanted in 1971: "Spinettalandia and his friends."
