The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath 
I bring the fourth studio album by The Mars Volta. Produced by Omar Rodriguez Lopez with engineer Robert Carranza.
On a trip to Jerusalem, Rodriguez-Lopez purchased an archaic board type Ouija in a curio shop as a gift for Bixler-Zavala, who became the new hobby of the band during the tour in 2006 with Red Hot Chili Peppers , with whom he used it as a kind of post-show ritual. Dubbed "The Soothsayer" ("The Reassuring"), the board began to reveal stories, naming names and making requests, after the band made contact with an entity that claimed to be three people in a , which they called "Goliath." As the band continued to interact with "The Soothsayer", strange coincidences began to appear during the process of recording The Bedlam in Goliath : The drummer Blake Fleming then left the band mid-tour due to financial problems, Bixler-Zavala's foot surgery due to an injury that is caused by the shoes she wears, forcing him to relearn how to walk, audio tracks sporadically and literally disappeared from the screens, the study of Rodriguez-Lopez home is flooded after suffering various electrical problems and the album's original engineer suffering a nervous breakdown, leaving all previous work unfinished and made a mess. engineer said Rodriguez-Lopez told the following:

Bixler-Zavala and names entered in the lyrics of the songs were taken from the messages they got from the board, including also fragments of poems came along with it, describing a love triangle between a woman and her daughter and a man. Each song interprets the relationship in some way, and as a good luck charm to counter such references, Bixler-Zavala also incorporated elements of Afro-Caribbean religious tradition Santeria in points as a "protective shield" for the band.
The album has the ultimate purpose to reverse the losing streak suffered by "traps" that listeners can use as a way to undo what "The Soothsayer" brought to the band. To help this concept, the vinyl editions of the album contains the band version of the ouija board at home.
